LPT Printer Port

The LPT Port, commonly known as the parallel port or printer port, is the easiest port to configure. However, it is also the slowest port. Most computers come with just one LPT port, although it is recommended to add an additional LPT port to your system if you will be printing using LPT.

NOTE: Printing with the TCP/IP Printer Port is usually considerably faster and will eliminate possible problems with the parallel port.

To configure the LPT Printer Port:

Use DMA (Direct Memory Access)
